  • The Snow leopard is Dorothea’s  favourite large cat, it’s so beautiful, I love to paint it; The first Snow leopard I painted was from Photographs I took at Marwell Zoo, Winchester; I named it 'Contentment'; she said.

Their long tails are thick with stored fat and covered with dense fur, this assists with balance on steep and rocky terrain, and allows them to be used as scarf’s. The leopards use their tails to keep their faces warm while they sleep. They have a nickname “ghost of the mountains.”

Their spotted coats act as cloaks of invisibility by blending into the rocky mountains, making it increasingly difficult to see one in the wild.

    It is endangered.

They live in the Himalayas, and also in China, Bhutan, Nepal, India, Pakistan, Russia, and Mongolia China, Bhutan, Nepal, India, Pakistan, Russia, and Mongolia.

This painting is a testament to Dorothea's passion for portraying these magnificent creatures with unparalleled realism and depth.

Add this captivating artwork to your collection and embrace a piece of the wild.

This artwork comes complete with a Signed Authenticity Certificate and a detailed Biography of the artist.
